Today is a day to explore myths and stories old and new. Originally, literary fairy tales appeared in works intended for adults, but in the 19th and 20th centuries that changed and the fairy tale became associated with children’s literature.

Often libraries and book stores will have fairy tale readings and story hours on this day. If you are of a mind and have no children or audience of your own, you could inquire about volunteering an hour that day to read a fairy tale or two.
