Today we celebrate the poetry of Robert Burns, writer of, amongst many other things, the poem “Old Lange Syne”

So as you enjoy your Burns Supper of Tattie soup, haggis and Scotch whisky, don’t forget to recite a few of his poems in his honor. Here’s one to get you started:

Some hae meat and canna eat,

And some wad eat that want it;

But we hae meat, and we can eat,
