Ever since William Morrison and John C. Wharton brought this confectionery treat to the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair it has been a popular favorite amongst fair-goers.

We know cotton candy was originally known as fairy floss because it is made of flossine sugar. What we don’t know is why it’s chosen day of celebration is in DECEMBER :S

Be that as it may, if you so happen to be in an area that has a candy floss provider year-round and would like to celebrate, enjoy! If you are not so lucky and can’t bring yourself to brave the prepackaged stuff, maybe this video will re-kindle your love of sugar thread.
